The DAV represents the interests of the German legal profession, both with regard to professional issues as well as in numerous other legislative procedures important to the legal profession in terms of legal policy. The international DAV department co-ordinates the foreign activities in DAV and is a contact point for foreign (Attorney) delegations. Exchange and information are primary focus of this international activity.
The legal services sector also increasingly profits from the internationalization of the economy in the area of business services. Exchange and information, as well as finding new trends in the international Attorneys Markets are becoming more important, especially if the preservation of existing markets or the identification of new markets are pursued; also through new business models.
The DAV is committed to the competitiveness of German law. The initiative "Law - in Germany", advertises the benefits of German law as part of the European Codification Law; legal certainty; predictability, affordability and enforceability. The goal is to position the German Legal System in the International Commercial Law in a globally pronounced manner. Addressed are decision-makers in companies and Commercial Associations as well as internationally active Lawyers, who are confronted with questions regarding the choice of law in their daily practice.
