Joint Submission on the Situation in Turkey for UN Human Rights Council
Together with various European and international lawyers' associations (including the Law Society of England & Wales and Lawyers for Lawyers), the DAV submitted a joint report to the UN Human Rights Council on the situation of the legal profession in Turkey. As part of the "Universal Periodic Review" (UPR) of Turkey in January 2020, we call for an immediate end to systematic prosecution in the legal profession and the judiciary and for respect for the principles of the rule of law and fair trial standards.
